Trying to get my temp sender working if I ground the wire it will go straight to hot but when I attach it to sender nothing I've tried a couple of senders it a 1000 ute with  a a12  I'm assuming the senders are the same  thanks adam

these sender units can be a bugger the units are the same on an a12 and a10 grounding it is a dead short so yeah it will go straight to hot if the units you are trying are second hand be sure they are not in any way damaged does not take much to destroy the them removing them from the block. if all else fails the capacitor on the rear of the circuit board could be faulty but that usually also affects the fuel gauge.
