Datsun 1000 sought, former NSW rego

Hi, Im trying to locate a Datsun 1000 model vehicle which in its original condition was grey in colour (may now be changed) and formerly carried NSW rego plates of EUU786 in the late 1960s.
If anybody can help it would be much appreciated, regards, Mark Dunn.

Hey mark, do you know which body type model it is? B10 (2door), B10 (4Door), VB10, KB10, B20?
Also do you know if it was an early model or late?

Here is a link to a page that might make it easier to identify.

Knowing this information may help to track it down.
1967 Datsun B10 2 Door.
At this stage I'm not sure what year and whether it was a 2 door or 4 door. I am trying to verify more detail. But, although whoever owns the car now would be the rightful and legal owner, it is of high importance to try to track it down for forensic reasons linked to an abduction investigation which has remained unsolved since 1968.

I am a journalist researching the case and if there is any information this forum has on the whereabouts of the vehicle it would be of significant interest. The wagon was sold by the family of the suspected perpetrator after police returned it to them. Given the state of forensic science at the time, certain tests were not made on the Datsun which could be of high relevance now. Much appreciated, regards Mark.
One of the other distinguishing features this vehicle had was it - regardless of what plates it may now carry - had a Navy sticker on one of the rear windows, Rgds, Mark.
So it was a wagon? if so then it is a VB10.

If the event took place in 1968 then it would likley be an early model, as the manunfacturing early to late models change over point was october 1968, so by the time any late models arrived in Australia after shipping from Japan the date would be very very late 1968 at the earliest.

Also here is a list of VIN numbers relating to each models years of manufacture.
(You would be interested in the VB10 section if you are after wagon information)

1967 Datsun B10 2 Door.
Thanks very much, the information is helpful. The incident took place in August 1968, if that also helps clarify the model. Of course, if the vehicle is able to be located I'm sure proper recompense would be made to the current owner to conduct further inquiries. Given your expertise and passion for the model, if you do come across any information as to a potential whereabouts it would be greatly appreciated and may help a grieving family find some long-awaited answers, Rgds, Mark.
I have given all the information i would be able to help with.
hopefully this narrows things down a little.

At least you know you are looking for an early model VB10.
Assuming it is a Datsun Sunny 1000 you are after.

Just to put this out there...There is also such a thing as a Datsun Bluebird 1000.
1967 Datsun B10 2 Door.
Thanks very much, if you come across anything further let me know, regards, Mark
Hi Mark,
This got me very curious so I did a bit of web snooping.  If you're looking for the car that originally belonged to who I think it belonged to, he bought it in 1967.
Presuming it was new when he bought it, and it is indeed a Datsun 1000 (VB10), it would be one of the first models. Do you have access to any photographs of the car at all?  Perhaps we can help pinpoint the exact model/year.
Also, what about quizzing the NSW RTA, the closest Nissan Dealer (Klosters) to where he lived when he bought it to at least check if they were a Datsun dealer back then, or even Nissan Australia?  They may all be long shots, as there's a very good chance the car is no longer with us, but it could be worth a shot.
When the "D" hits your eye, like a txt smiley guy...
