Engine mounts , 1969 kb10 coupe

When I bought my kb10 it had a seized a12 engine in it, so I after buying some other engines that didn't fit, decided to buy a reco a12 engine, thinking it would be the same as the one I got with it. Sadly once again I was wrong and it was actually a different a12 to the one I had which is really annoying but oh well. So I guess I have a couple of questions:
1. How do I know what gearbox(because the flywheel is different on both engines), carbys, alternator and all the rest of it to get?
2. The other a12 engine that was in it, it's mounting brackets were 24cm from the flywheel and the new one I bought is only 20cm. So is there brackets or something I can buy for it or what do I do?
I have seen a couple of ways to do the mounts, the simplist way is a piece of 6mm plate that can be welded to your factory bracket to extend it the 40mm you need. I'm not sure if you can see mine in this pic but I will try and put a better one for you.
Ok yeah I think I get what you mean, thanks and yeah the pictures are helpfull, thank you
