I'll be here for at least 10yrs.
Finally picked her up yesterday. Took her to a friends work shop. Still not sure what year she is, but thinking early 67. Previously i found the fuel system not flowing. 
Disconnected and checked the lines.OK. pulled the tank and found it 1/4 full with leaded fuel!(stale as stale gets) . Apparently they stopped using leaded fuel in japan in the early eighties! Drained the tank, and had a look. Looked like rust. Turned out to be decomposed fuel in a paste about 10mm thick on the bottom of the tank.
Also discovered what the unusual brake pedal was from. Only one cylinder partially worked out of 6. Oh and did i mention there were no brakes in the rear, literally. Under the drum, just cylinders(seized at that). No springs no shoes no retaining pins and springs.
