wheel size b10?

need help again guys lol,
looking at wheels, im stuck on these rota rb wheels,
as d pointed out they have a rep for cracking, i'll be using them on a daily driver only so i dont think thats a problem...

these are on ebay as 1000 wheels - 2 x 15x6 & 2 x 15x7
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290799048530?item=290799048530&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

my novice question is: how will these fit b10, & ... 7ns on the back and 6's on front, is that the way to go?
what offsets would be best for front and back,

offsets available are here: http://www.rotawheels.com/wheel.php?id=34

many things on this build have gone only half ok, want to try to get this right
does anyone know the perfect size and offset for b10?
cheers.
I have 14x6 +14 and I think they are the perfect size/offset for my B10.

Everyone will have their own take on what the right sizes are, but personaly I think 15's are too big for a 1000.
A bigger rim means less tyre sidewall/volume to absorb bumps. (assuming you are trying to keep a similar rolling diameter)

The energey from bumps needs to go somewhere, if your wheel has no give then the suspension components will be left to take all that energy. and these parts are not exactly over engineered or cheap & avaliable.

My opinion is stay with 13 or 14 inch rims on a 1000.

ok so 15ns are out for me,
this pic are they 14 x 6?

this is what im trying for, wheels just inside the guards nicely,
These are 14x6 + 14 offset.

They clear all the suspension from full lock right through to full lock in the opposite direction up front and also clear my guards. (Stock guards and not rolled on the lips).
At full lock the inside of the wheel just rubs on the flexible brake line, but I do mean just, probably less than a 1mm interference at full lock.
I plan on limiting the steerings travel by adjusting the limiting bolts that bump onto the radius rods at full lock. to eliminate this interference.

As for the rear the very top of the wheel lip is slightly rolled on my car but im not 100% if it would be nesscary to get these to fit.

I'm running 14 x 6.5 +18 and have no worries with any rubbing anywhere.  Mind you, I am still running at stock height... for now (shoosh Dave! )

Looking past the fact that this photo was taken on the piss (me, and the steering wheel that is), they don't protude from the guard at all.
When the "D" hits your eye, like a txt smiley guy...
they really look perfect ash, and practical ride wise...im getting the idea,
i just wached offset video 101 lol, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwiqAr2bI-I

so your offset +14 (thats mm right?) ..does that mean center line of rim is outside the hub or inside?

do ya think the orange 4 door has 14 x 6;s?
nice dats, so what do yas reacon 7x 14 on back 6 or 6.5x 14 front,
will then need to have different offset on back right?

maybe 6.5 14's =18 os... 7 x 14's maybe 26 os?
am i on the right track?

cheers
You could always stick to the stock 12s and slam it by 3"...

Yes the offset for my wheels was measured in mm.

The imaginary centreline of my rim would intersect inside the hub.

I am not sure what size wheels are on that orange 1000, but it dosn't seem out of the question for them to be 14x6.

A couple of things that led me to decide which wheel size to use were...

  • Matching sizes for all wheels so I can rotate tyres without clearance issues.
  • I don't intend on track racing my 1000 or chasing 1/4 mile times, so i saw no sense in buying wider rims & tyres than I had a need for. (I was also considering 5.5 inch rims while deciding/looking).

I would also be interested to hear what rim sizes other members on here are running.
Wheels are a big investment.
It would be nice to have a few options on here for other people looking at this thread in the future.

I recently returned my VB10 to stock height getting rid of the blocks and brand new shocks Datsamore...

I dont care what the stanceworks nazis say...theres something about the steep rake on the stock wagons that looks just as badass as slammed...it also handled better, and now its truly different! ...but maybe that's just because I havent touched the front end yet :/

I run 14x6 not sure of the offset...Id go back to 13s in a heartbeat but they don't fit over the discs
