mulotix 1000, Sunny 1000 Coupe Deluxe

Hey peeps, I recently purchased my new ride that I can say I am very happy with! And hopefully will be holding onto for year's to come! I have already started work on it and thought I should share some before and after pictures with you all.

Nice work,
welcome to the 1000 world...
Looks good! Always glad to see another 1000 being saved. Once you have one they start multiplying!
Thanks Dundee and dix!
I have always been a fan of the corolla coupes and had a few in my time but this thing has a killer feel, I love it!
I had alot of spares come with the car one of which was the heater box. It has all rusted out at the back must have been a leaking hose or bad seal on the firewall because the core is not leaking feww!!! $$$ I have sandblasted it and fabricated a new bottom section and will tig weld and metal finnish it this week hopefully!
good buy, dude! looks like clyons8's old car. a12?
Not sure mate, got it from Aiden in Adelaide
Heater box all fabbed up. Paint or powder coat?
I'd go paint myself, easier to touch up if it gets marked. Nice job on the heater box, it's different to the heaters I've got so they must have different models.
Ahh ok, I ended up getting it powdercoated for $10. Anyone have any pics of the knob on the heater core? Also need whatever bolts to the front and the pipes for the demister. Any info pls!

Send me a PM with a postal address and I'll get one of these sent off to you.
No cost, i'll just send it.

I got a few of these amongst a mixed lot from ebay. (Not for a 1000, but it fits my late model heater)
Unfortunatley I cannot confirm a fit for your early model heater because my early model heater core is mising the valve that this bolts to.

I can't help with the clips to hold the front on either. (I am missing mine as well)

I'll buy one too bro if you have some spares...
As it turns out I have one more of these to spare, PM me with a postal address and i'll get it sent off to you.

Pm sent mate, cheers!

Also on a further note, took the core in to get flushed wasnt flowing properly and had chunky stuff coming out of it.
Guy is re-coring with a brass core and doing cheap cheap!
No problem.
A working heater should improve the Datsun experience.

I'll post the knob off tomorrow.

Cant wait! I also have some flexible tubing for the demister. Its black ali heat shroud. Ill wack a photo up soon.

Thanks again Ash
This is the piping i was talking about

I sent your knob overnight post today.
So if you are lucky it may get to you before the weekend

It looks like the piping will do the job well. I am a big fan of making stock looking parts from other things.
Great choice in piping.

On a side note your images are not coming up in your gallery.
I think this will be bacause of the _ symbol in your image names.

For those interested in the large pics...

After looking through an owners manual, I think this is the exact part for your early model heater.
