Got mine triple cored for $400 at natrad. That included repairs to overflow tube and a bit of a leak, I think $500 isn't to bad but still needs drain. I don't understand why an overflow tank can't be used with the std rad!

Id rather spend 500aud on a 1k radiator than a heater core for a camry, falcoon or commonhoe They are such simple cars that with good maintanance will outlast most owners

Hi D, I guess it might be a bit pricey, but I think people who re-do things from the basics are harder and harder to find. Most modern things are driven by expediency and get thrown away before getting a new one. Don't know if you agree with that, and...

Thanks for the extra info D! The dimensions certainly have been a challenge, but also where the inlets and outlets go on the tanks. Sorry - I'm not sure I understand a couple of things you refer to: 'AN' fitting and a jimny radiator. Also, the radiator...

you could check up a suzuki sierra or even a jimny radiator from the wreckers they are very close just use AN fitting for the bottom feed on the radiator I heard the Sierra fits the 1000 quite easily and the alloy ones can be reversed plugged and use AN...

Thanks for your prompt and useful reply D, yes, my uncle had considered that option too and ultimately, it may have to be the solution. I think he would like to have one radiator recored and fixed, whilst still having his car on the road, with the old...

Hello Datsun 1000 Afficionados, I'm enquiring again on behalf of my uncle - this time he is looking for a radiator for his 1969-70 light van (VB10). I've gone through the forum entries from you guys and from what you've said, I've concluded that the...

it is this model, the most raced, lightest non commercial model 625kg in pov pack trim much better than a basic caterham cause you have the same weight without worrying about the elements. A guy I sold one of mine to, put an all alloy engine and box saved...
