"If you still want 3 point belts without the barrel bolt going right through, look into seatbelt spreader plates. http://automotiverestraints.com.au/SEATBELT-PLATES-AND-BOLTS/   If you do this you will need a 7/16UNF bolt with the correct strength grade..."

"Agree with you Neil I remember years ago I had the same problem fixed it with the spacer and also shortened the shaft like you can't remember how much I shortened it by wow this was 20 odd years ago I always use later gearbox's now."
