Yes and yes, but you would have to shorten if you did a full R31 conversion as well. Come to think of it, just about every other diff would have to be shortened to fit under our skinny little Thou's. Long story short, the standard diffs don't like a lot...

Are you looking at Jap built R31 or Aus built, cos I have a feeling (could be wrong) that the Aus R31 diff was a Borg Warner: I guess is as RARHS* up yonder in Thailand. I think the Jap R31's diff may be a H190, also found (?) in the D21...

Personally I would just leave the std diff alone and get something with discs and get it shortened, hilux diffs are a good option. At least that way you can get almost any ratio and no heartache when you blow the stock diff with a custom disc setup!

B10 diff will never be strong enough for a CA if your going to actually drive it Look at other options No the R31 brakes are not a direct bolt up and the stock axles will float abit anyway I'm guessing... till they break

Good stuff but I have to ask.....how many bloody 1000's are over in the west? It's as if Japan sent them all there and you let a few escape to the east! Keep on getting them back on the road and a few more might escape and I'll be able to increase the...
