A couple years back on 1200.com there was discussion of 1200 coupe rear shocks fitting the 1000. I haven't tested this but have a pair ready to go that I bought on clearance.

Conversion is easy, you need a hole in the transmission tunnel for the gearstick and sort out pedals and clutch and that's it. Column shift auto isn't difficult to operate, just shift it into D for 'drive' and you're away. Tailshaft is plenty strong,...

Yeah I looked at putting them at the front but the original brake hoses wouldnt fit so I decided to put on the back, But yeah its easy as, and if you do want to use the original hoses all you have to do is remove the end fitting and fit a new copper...
