Rudi's '68 B10 sedan, Bogor, Indonesia

Hello from West Java. I've been reading this forum for a long time without an account, mostly the suspension threads, and finally joined.
The car is a 1968 B10 four door, white, bought new by my father in Jakarta and driven by him until about 2005. After that it sat under a carport in Bogor for years, which in our climate means rust in all the usual places plus a few new ones. I started on it properly two years ago.
Where it is now: floor pans and the lower rear quarters are done, the A10 runs well after a rebuild with an overbore kit we found in Surabaya, and the brakes are new. The interior is still my father's, seat covers and all. I'm keeping those.
Parts are the hard part here. Datsuns were common in Indonesia in the 70s but most 1000s are long gone, so a lot comes from Australia by post and takes two months. Front control arm rubbers are on my list too, I saw the thread about the unobtainium pads and I'm in the same position.
I'll post pictures once I work out the upload. Glad to be here.

Small update on the B10. The rear quarters are in primer now and the car is back on its wheels after almost four months on stands. I drove it round the block on Sunday, first time since my father parked it. The A10 pulls fine, but the gearbox is noisy in second and there is a clunk from the rear left on bumps that I think is the shackle bushes.
Garage time is shorter these days. My son wants to go to the football at Pakansari on Saturdays, so I check the kick-off on https://garudayaksa-fc.id/ and fit the workshop hours around it. Usually that means mornings only.
Questions for anyone who has done it: did you replace the leaf spring bushes with poly or stay with rubber? On our roads I'm leaning to rubber, the potholes after rain are serious and poly might make the old shell crack. Also, is there a trick to getting the shackle pins out without heat? Mine are rusted solid and I'd rather not use a torch that close to the new paint.
