Even the 120y and 1200 calipers are 1.8", bigger than the commy and pintara rears, from what I have read. The next ones that I wanted to look more closley at are front calipers of an AE92 Carolla, they run solid disks that slide over the studs, and I think are about 2" pistons, on the same frame as the pintara rears.
 
They were exported over there werent they?

I think one possible solution is to use S12 or 200sx 1984 rotors + calipers and
make some caliper brackets up using MDF then either waterjet or lasercut
some 4-5mm flat steel plate once you get the right sizes. 
 
The main thing is to find something that has removable caliper brackets
and I think the Chrysler Lancer was available there as an early Colt?
 
ae92 seem to have 12.5mm thickness

Ya we can put alot of different upgrades here. My brothers drift rx7 is street legal.
Ya thats what I'm going to do is make a custom bracket. And I do have acess to an 84 and a 88 200sx

Reason I said those models is that the disc rotors are superlight and stop a 1110kg car well.

I'd be going for some thicker plate to make your brackets too
I use 10mm that might be alittle overkill
I wouldn't go under 8 personally

8mm was the thickness of the factory 4 disc rotors from the 
60s rallye winning Renault 8 Gordini Specials and normal models

Was just making the point that world champion winning R8s had actually 9mm thick rotors  
as minimum thickness but some drive them till they get to 8mm!! same with R10s
 
There are some very nice Wilwood combos though up their way & one very light setup
was done to a black 1200 coupe with all the right TS cup bits a couple of years ago in
the US but cant remember his post or user name.
