New member Datsun 1000 4 dr sedan, Nina's 4 door

Hi guy's fairly new member to this forum, and very new owner of a 4 door 1000.
Got very lucky with this car, it's been left well alone through it's life time. The only thing that I can tell thats not original is the mounting of the front number plate. She drive's beautifully, and has pretty good steel, just can't believe how good a nic she's in. This is my fiance's daily drive to work to.

 
We've had to do very little to this car since buying it, other then a whole lot of polishing, but she came up pretty good. Certainly got me sold on the 1000's

The second one looks as if it is out of a brocure.
 
It was great to see your 1000 at the car show on Sunday.

Hey Ash! Was awesome to meet you on the weekend, reminds me of what I used to love about owning a Datsun, it's the people involved as much as it is the cars.

Do you know its owner history? Is it the little old lady who only drove it to church deal?....

I agree this is so clean, can't believe it's mostly original! I would love to get a set of original steelies and hubcaps for originality. Are the fog lights an original thing? I wouldn't have a clue!

Mmmmmm also, good to know there's another 1000 member I can meet up with someday along with b20 and thouute! One day when it's on the road.

Not sure if the fog lights are original. They could be, I have seen another pic of a 1000 with the sme lights in the same position. And the switch for them is like none I have ever seen before.
She's a very honest car I must say, but not as flawless as she looks in the pics. But this just seems to ad to the original feel, I wont be in a hurry to re paint her.
I believe I'm the 4th owner. The guy I bought it from just bought it and parked it, then sold it after about 4 months. The Nissan owners book then shows the original purchaser's name, and a second name that it was sold to while still under warranty.

I have been a long time member of the 1200 club but found this site. As I have a coupe this is where I should be.
