Following the purchase of this item, I got in contact with another supplier.
 
He can supply multiple units @ AUD$20 a piece and I might be able to get a bit more off if we get decent numbers.
 
There is nothing in it for me, and I reckon with the group postage we can save a fair bit. I can send them out in small prepaid satchels when they arrive. I'll pay the postage over which shouldn't be much more than what that ebay seller is charging (maybe $20 max).
 
Postage will be quite quick.
 
I fitted one of these to my 1000 and they are good. Far better than a new cut key and much cheaper than rebuilding the barrel. No more spontaneous starter motor spinning and no more fallout keys.

Let it be known that these are not specific to the 1000 instead they are a part for the 520/410 range, Leith spotted it and sure enough they fit like a glove (gotta love nissan interchangeability). The only difference is the length in the barrel. It fits snug, no slop no play- I'll get pictures up tomorrow.
 
Quality part at a good price.

I do not think the profile woul be the same Ash, I think you'd have to have two keys still.
