Wanted to buy- Datsun 1000 UTE

G’day everyone
I had a Datsun 1000 sedan back in 1989, one of the best cars I ever owned. After I sold it locally a couple of years later I even offered to buy it back from the guy I sold it too. He loved it also and she never came back home!!!
Back then I had young kids and no money, the Datsun had the back seat removed for a period of time for my air compressor and tools, yes this was the vehicle I used for work and the little Dato did the job beautifully.
Anyways, why I am writing to you all here is that I am on the lookout for a Datsun 1000 Ute. I will consider all conditions from full restores required too the completed restoration.

Yep, there's actually two on Gumtree here in the West at the moment, however I wouldn't worry about the one without photos... I've tried contacting the joker repeatedly and he doesn't respond.

Personally I think the price is a bit high but hey, it is lic'd! If you're interested in the other one and need someone to go check it out, I'd be more than happy to and I reckon Dundee1000 would be as well.

Thank you for your replies, much appreciated.
I saw a ute on Gumtree, it was a photo of a 1000 ute sitting on a trailer and the location was Wagga. I emailed the bloke but he replied same day saying it was sold.
The one in WA (the white one sitting at the front of a house), also on Gumtree looks like it has been played around with too much. Changed taillights in the rear etc etc.
The purple one looks un molested, you can see where bog has fallen out from the tailgate etc. But hey you are going to get that I suppose with a car of this age. I might make some enquires of how much it would cost to transport from WA > Vic. Also I will keep scanning the adverts!!!

Got a bare ute body I was going to cut in half. No diff. Might be not enough starting point.

I think best to start with something like Dons ute as you know whats underneath
I bought a couple of utes 10 years ago and they where awful underneath but looked
awesome on the outside. They are so simple, if you can get one relatively standard
