Radiator options for 1000

Had a quick search but didnt come up with anything?
 
im looking to see if anyone has found radiators from another model that fit the 1000?
 
or if anyone is interested in a gruop buy on alloy ones if we can get them made??

3 core in the stock 1000 one works a treat..

yea triple core is the go, i've seen alloy ones on yahoo but there fairly pricey 600+ and shipping on top of that

We discussed this once
D even has schemeatics of the rad to be made in alloy
But the sizes don't look right against my stock rad
 
Chinese would be more than happy to make them
I contacted them
But wasn't happy with the dimensions and haven't rechecked them personally

sweet, did they give you an estimate on the price neil? i'd assume it would depend on numbers. need to nag dave see if he can get proper dimensions

Does a 120y radiator fit in the 1000? B20 ute to be specific.

dont think so, better of just getting the 1000 radiator rebuilt with a triple core

my B20 has some tiny radiator with dodgy brackets made up. was like it when i got it. what could i get a radiator out of that is a bolt straight in jobby?

Not much besides a 1000 one fits a 1000
 
Theres been some Hyundai ones fitted before... Beatie did it to his red wagon

I fitted one from a early 80's mazda 323 without much difficulty, though did have to muck around with hose diametres, but for $30 from the wrecker, kept it going, works fine.

1200 radiators are narrower and taller I think. I have one here and it's not even close. I think I have a spare 1000 radiator that I bought a while ago.

oh ic, bummer that,
wonder if that guy can do 1000 specs?
 
i would imagine so,
is it possible to contact sellers direct on ebay?
 
or maybe i'll have to use the ask seller question on that 1200 item,
and then ask if it fits 1000 etc. can he make 1000 spec etc.

putting a tripple core in a 1000 radiator is the best option,
if somebody makes a double pass Ally one I'd be interested,
 
IMO, I don't think the 1200 one is as good as the Thou one...

I have fitted a hyundi excel into my race car,it takes up nearly all of space between inner gaurds but a lot of work ,two holes have to be drilled in front crossmember, hold down brackets to be made for top,reducer  joiners for hoses, then you have to grind bumper bar ions to slide under bottom tank.I think two or three core 1000 radiator is right for road car
