I never realised there were 1.6, or even 1.8L versions of the SR, let alone with variable valve timing! 
 
How common are they... especially the N1 version?!?

Sr16VE are the same size as an SR20VE and equal to an L series.

Not sure but there is two on eBay one has already be converted to rear wheel drive
