well thought i'd post my days work, took me most of the day to assemble. not datsun related but there a pretty cool bit of equipment could be used in a datsun pretty easily would nearly work out cheaper than shortening a diff

is that so you can have an open wheeled center? pretty sure they come with an open center, i know we put a locking shim in so the wheels are 100 percent locked and i know you can get an open centered version just not sure if that one came open. i should of taken more photo's when i was building it i only thought to myself 'somone on the dato forum might appreciate this' after we were finished

well depends what drivetrain option i go with, bit extreme for the a series i think but being able to gear it the way you want would be pretty sweet, will definately put one in the race car. i can get them for 2200 hub to hub, also choose what length you want and the gears are 60 a set which i think is fairly reasonable.

probably can, i think they're the midget diff im not sure about the gears tho i'll ask. i think there's an option for a hypoid centre too actually, we've never got one but my mate reckons there is so ill ask about that to

yea i've seen your thread on 1200.com about that irs i would assume you could adapt it if its the same one im thinking of
 
still finding out about the gears, dont think you can get any other than straight cut tho

can get helical gears for the 8 3/8 center. i can weight the ones we have, at a guess i'd say around the complete setup in the photo's above weight around 40-50kg
