hey peeps check out my new ride  picked her up today, pretty chuffed still pretty sweet and drives like a dream was so stoked to get behind the wheel of a thousand again. some stuff to fix up aesthetically, other than that she's mechanically fine
 

 
first thing i'd like to sort out is where to get window rubbers, the ones that run along the bottom that seal the door to the actual window. can someone help me out? let me know where to get some new ones and what type i need

Yeah a good line on rubbers would be good...they are a wierd profile, a certain Old Auto Rubbers establishment tried to sell me 1600 rubbers when I asked, and the previous owner of this very car fell to the same fate via mail-order if I remember correctly

yea its the one that has been dyna matted, that pic is fairly old the body is a bit worn but still overall good condition just a few little things let it down but i will fix them up. biggest pain is these rubbers its the only part i dont have, going to ring up spectrum rubber and order the ones they've got specified and see if they fit.
 
has any one ordered the rubbers that scotts old rubber and spectrum have specified? be good to know if they fit before i buy them lol if not i'll wing it and let everyone know

here's a pick thats in the catalogue and the part numbers they have listed. the exterior belt is part no. 216.030 on page 21

pretty sure that spectrum and scotts use this same catalogue, i have to also get the inner belts to but im not sure if the clips they've got listed are right

i do want to boost and a12 with efi and water/meth injection but not this one lol. my plans for this are-
 
-sort out the door rubbers
-put a sneaky stereo in
-get the rear parcel shelf recovered and some new door cards made and recovered
-get a new roof lining made
-put a heater in of some sort
-paint out the instrument cluster cover a different colour i dont think cream suits
-upgrade the ignition
-tidy up the engine bay
 
after that i might think about motor up grades like h89 head and twin webbers but not entirely sure if i want to do that yet it goes perfectly fine the way it is, if stuff breaks i'll think about upgrade mainly interested in cosmetics at the moment

well put a new ignition switch in, also put an original cigarette lighter in today and it is now registered . also ordered new door belts yesterday so should see them soon and i'll let everyone know how i go.
