air filter housing

hi guys,
im in need of an air filter housing solution!
 
i posted before in regard to not having enough hight room, only 1-3/4"
 
is this normal?
 
looks like il need standard one as it is recessed over the carb,
 
so im looking for a standard 1000 air filter housing, i am getting the car ready to 
take anual trip 7 hours to near phuket and im getting desperate,

Just getting it to you might be tricky
Housemate going to Bali Wed but doubt she'd want to take it with her

btw 2011 word snooker champ neil robertson (aussie) just made it into the final of the chinese snooker open,
he won w.a title a few times also... final live tomorrow night!

it seems that it doesnt fit under the bonnet, its too high with my a12 as discussed on here before
we will see what we can do from here,

Maybe you need an aftermarket sports filter like I had on the old wagon
 
Looked abit like this one... but have to meaure neck to get correct size
