Well it is about time i finally picked the little beast up from my old mans house as it has sat there for the last 5 years and the cancer has had its way with my poor little wagon but i will breathe life back into her even if it kills me
 
The plans for this long time build is a 1/4 mile pass in single figures........ laugh if you want but this car is my dream and to have it run a single figure pass is a wet dream.
 
Mods in the future will be:
a front end overhaul thanks to maddat hopefully fitting a tidy sr20det or a nasty 13bt
hot little hilux/hiace diff
brake upgrade to help this weapon to stop
roll cage to keep me from getting to scared
auto trans undecided on what will fit or do the correct job
and this list will be added to no doubt through out the build to get me and my wagon to the goal the little 1000 deserves
I welcome any sugestions, hint,tips and i love criticism so please give me all sorts of feed back

I love the VB10's, It's good to see another 1000 on the mend.

Will you be shortening the Hilux/Hiace diff?

If not...
The early Hilux diffs are shorter, (The older the better, they just keep getting wider as the years go on)
You will want a Hilux diff from the RN2x series, (1973-1978).
I have one from an RN25 in the garage for a mate who is starting another project.
1372mm face width,  a 1000 is 1247mm so you would be adding 62.5mm to each side.
You could play about with different wheel offsets to reduce the extra width.
