Gearbox - Datsun 1000

Hi All. Has anyone fitted a Toyota 5 speed to their 1000? considering the cost of a datsun 5 speed is this a good option?? cheers Peter

I have been a long time member of the 1200 club but found this site. As I have a coupe this is where I should be.

I've had them in mine too

Yes they are certainly an option to consider

Hey Peter the 1200 site has a fair bit of information on this conversion, I'm definately considering doing it myself down the track. Not sure if there is any particular differences for the 1000 opposed to the 1200 but here's the link:

Thanks for the reply will try and checkout Kue for some thoughts as well Also thanks for the link Matthew I have found it very interesting reading it all looks good to me. Has anyone seen the red kb10 for sale on gumtree?? nice looking car price is sure up there but great to see another one being pampered and looking good huh. Cheers Peter
