1959 Datsun 1000 C Engine

G'day All,

New to the forum and hoping to get some assistance. My dad has had a 59 1000 in his garage collecting dust for a number of years. Last registered in 1968. I've recently been inspired to get some action happening with it before he gets too advanced. These things seem pretty rare as does info and reference material.
I was wondering if anyone had any information on these particularly regarding engine parts/manual.

thats cool - I imagine that they are super rare here in Aus. Not sure they even use an A-series motor.

Regardless, im sure we can help you out in getting that beauty back on the road
Yep, that's it. The engine's a C-series engine  (988cc OHV) apparently known as the Stone Engine for the bloke who made improvements to the Austin motor it was based on. I'll try to take an inventory soon of the bits and pieces Dad's got lying around. Also interested in finding a lead on windscreen rubber if/when we can get it painted.
