14" wheels, what tyre size fits in?

Got some Pintara 14" wheels, but I don't think they will fit under the guards. They are 165/75/14.

What size tyres do you use for the disk break conversion?
Im running 175/60/R14 and have no issues with clearance.
I can turn my wheels full lock in both directions and have no scrubbing on anything.

I have no idea about what offsets my wheels have sorry.

The 165/75/R14 that you have wil be around 50mm taller overall (diameter) than the standard 155/80/R12.
so if you manage to make them fit they will give you a false speedo reading.

thats weird have you assembled your hub right? i've got 13x8 -13 offset and they only stick out like 25mm

The tyres on the rim are actually 185/75/14, and they hit the top controll arm, and at full lock they hit the radius rod in one direction and the back of the wheel well in the other.
sounds like they have to much positive offset, if you put spacers in will they still hit?

well that sux. $100 down the drain, should have known that the offset changed later on. Thats the conclusion that I have drawn too.
No, with spacers it should clear the top controll arm and radius rod at least, the tyre ends up square on the back of the wheel well when on lock that puts the back of the wheel into the car, but it mihgt clear, I'd probable need pretty big spacers though.

Oh, and the speedo is out any way Ash, I had to use a navman and some liquid paper to get it right. Don't worry, I have a spare instrument cluster that has no marks on it for when I get it right.
If you want a web site that tells you the wheel and tyre height differences - www.willtheyfit.com
I'm running 14 x 6 with 0 offset, 185/65r14 tyres and they fit perfectly in the guards. I rolled the front and rear guards so that it took the sharp edges off. My tyres clear the back of the wheel well. I've got a pair of 14" hurricane style wheels on ebay atm that are going for 99cents but only a pair. I think they are +26 or +32 maybe??
If I had my time again I'd prob get 185/60 or 185/55 tyres cause my ride height is a bit too high for me.
185 75 14 is huge. You might want to get lower profile tyres, they aren't expensive these days. Slip on spacers can be had pretty cheap too. My 175 65 14s only scraped a little and only on full lock, my car was low as hell.
Mine are only standars pintara steel wheels, so I might go to the wreckers and see if I can find something else.  Do they have to be 14's Mikey or will 13's fit over the pintara calipers?
Where did people get your 14" rims, or has anyone got any they want to let go?
SOLUTION!!!! Pintara rims, and 165/65/14 tyres fit nicely, because the rotor becomes a spacing plate, but even without that, they just fit. BLOODY AWSOME!!!!!! Thanx guys.
Sounds good mate, Yeah it can only be 14's on skyline brakes. Even grinding the cooling fins off on the caliper wont help. Glad to see it all worked.
