B10 Headers, Susuki carbs

does anyone know where I can buy a set of headers for my B20, can't find a set on any of the Exhaust makers lists.
Has anyone fitted motorcycle carbs, I have a pair of dual throats of a Susuki GSX 400 , the throat dimemsions and spacing is almost identical to the Datto cylinder head, within 1mm , they would require a pressure reg as they are only gravity feed, would like to fit them up for a test run as they would look and should run brilliant  but need some headers first,
, could be an interesting challenge.  Any thoughts
few people have fitted bike carbs on datsun1200.com, as for the headers pretty sure 1200 ones fit not 100% sure as i've never fitted a set

with the headers issue, its just not that simple as most exhaust makers believe that since they share the same engine, then everything fits. 1200 ones will bolt up to the head, but its the collectors at the firewall that usually cause the problems. They normally hit the steering arms.

I was able to bend mine out of the way "just". It sat awfully close to the joint so the heat probally affected the grease in the joint somewhat, but it all worked fine none the less.

Some will fit just fine, others wont. It doesent seem to be any real rhyme or reason, just some do some dont. You will need to trial fit them to see if they fit or can be modified to fit, but thats hard when you have to buy them first.

The set I used from memory were hurricane headers, but dont bank on that. that engine and exhause system has been long gone now to a new owner. (I wonder how thats going....Mikey??)

As for the bike carbs, plenty of people have used them (check out datsun1200.com). Not bieng a carb person i not a guru, but from a local guru, his 'rule-of-thumb' with bike carbs was to get carbs from a bike that outputs similr HP to your engine. The capacity of the bike engine, doesent seem to matter. Im not sure what HP the suzuki carbs came from, but thats something to think about.
You will also nee to make some sort of custom intake for them. Not mega hard, but its another task.

This should get you in the ballpark for the right size carbs. Sure they will need tuning, but its in the ballpark.
Ive got some mates that use quad carbs on their dattos (sounds great) they use a headder tank for the fuel because of the gravity feed. If you dont run a pre-tank, you run outta fuel on sweeping or long corners also makes the normal running of the carbs a lot smoother. they make their own manafolds to fit the carbs ie - 2 flat bits of steel  (one for the head and one for the carbs to bolt to ) and some tubes welded between them its that simple , a bit of porting and smoothing up of welds on the inside and they work great. Size wise they reckon 36mm is as big as you wanna be going on a warm 1000 - 1200 (for quad carbs that is)
