1000 ute ebay, help needed., Sydney

Is there anyone in sydney that wants parts from this?

I contacted the owner of this ute and he says he is unwilling to split.
However he says if the $500 asking price is paid that he is willing to have the ute parted out where is currently is.

It seems like a waste to let this thing get crushed.
I don't see any one person seeing $500 value in parts so it is very likley to be what happens to this car..
I am willing to pay $200 for the dash pad, choke cable and windscreen washer button.
that $200 would need to cover postage for those parts to the gold coast as well.

Cheers ash.

$100 plus postage for the badges, washer bottle/motor/jets/hoses and the r/h front indicator/park lens (if it's salvageable!) from me.  I might take both door handles (extra $50) as well if they're not too badly pitted.

If anyone else in WA is looking at stuff, we could combine and save on postage???

id do 50 for that left fender looks in ok shape. and possibly 50 for the windsheild as a extra spare as alberta has alot of flying rocks. that brings it to 400

Bugger it. If you take the winshield Derrick and he's willing to [carefully] remove the whole dash,  I'll tip in another $100 for everything else you don't want Ash.

I want it cos it still has the factory radio holes and cigar lighter blanking grommet!

pls B patient Ash the guys had it for so long it wont move at that price the thing is ratshit so if you wait a while he will budge as it wont move. The dash pad is not worth that much and neither is that guard is got hidden cancer you will regret.
The coupe for sale is back up and he has been offered 500 and asked for another 100 to sell it but no one budged. Look at his old auction ads youll see the offers and questions.

I realise the dash pad is not worth that much. but I thought the extra would help to make the remainder of the car a little more reasonable price wise for someone else interested in bits.
Plus im asking someone on here to take the time to collect and remove then pack and send it to me.

Here is a word for word quote of part of my text from Brett.
"If you want 2buy the whole thing u can come and take what u want and leave the rest here".

So we would need a Sydney member willing to buy the whole car that is also willing to strip it then pack & sell some of the bits, I realise it is a tall ask, and If there was some one willing to do this I am happy to direct deposit the money up front to avoid any out of pocket expenses for my share.

Im not too worried if the sale never happens, im just putting the offer out there as im keen on an early dash pad that I can get retrimmed sometime in the future.

fair enough I didnt know you really meant dash pad? or early gauges cluster? as the dash only needs padded vinyl glued on.

I already have an early gauge cluster, im after the pad.

Hmmm, padded vinyl eh? I might have to look into this.
Are there any types of vinyl I should avoid?

Any vinyl by Stock, Aitken & Waterman should be avoided at all costs!

Easy as pie quite a few members have done it Ash as the dash metal is already perfectly smoothed and shaped.  Go into a supplier of vinyl and other materials to the industry, I have one here in locally in my area and you can choose vinyl with foam already together or vinyl with seperate foam which is more work, most car upholsterers should be able to sell you a section for less than $20 if they have it. You aiming for black ? BLK reduces glare from the windscreen compared to lighter colours which are painful.

Yes, I think black is the best choice for a dash pad.

What do you do about the edges?
Do you just cut it as good as you can?
1967 Datsun B10 2 Door.
I used the Ally strips off the later dash to finish the leading edge, and never glued anything onto the painted steel, I like the look of the body coloured dash..

you can see in this pic..
bad Vinyl.. Cat Stevens sucks too..

just looked at that car, I wouldn't hand over 50 bucks for it..

Datsamore.. come see me for bits..

the only thing i can see worth $$$ to somebody is the LH tail light..
Cheers Mike, I'll try to make time to come over this weekend with my wish list.

By the way, has Mal moved yet?
