Mystery Switch

My choke knob isn't actually a choke knob!   And no, my tongue isn't firmly in my cheek...

Instead of the letter "C", it has the letter "W".  I presume it stands for "Wiper", but I'm at a loss as to which Datsun this might have come from originally.  Could it have come from an early G60 Patrol, a 520/521, a Homer or possibly even a Fairlady?

Any light on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Alan.

might not have been a Datto at all..
Probably broke the knob off like my car
And someones put a spare wiper one on... exactly like I'm doing
It definitely looks Datto, that is the shape and font of the letter match.  I also spied this photo whilst looking at Roadsters in the U.S on eBay...

The roadsters were always quite rare in Oz though, right???  Surely my mystery switch isn't from one of these pups, though  it'd be pretty cool if it is!

I think it is a Roadster wiper knob,  http://www.datsunparts.com/Knobs part # 1739

Cheers Ash.  I think I can deal with that, makes my lil wag a tad bit more exotic!

I know this is not a perfect match but it has a "C" on the front.
I thought I would mention this as an option.
I think it is close enough to consider using if you are after an original look/feel to the interrior.

Cheers for the link Ash and big ups for taking the time to find and post it for me.

I think I'll keep the "W" knob though.  I'm digging that it's off what I regard as the Datsun flagship of the time and plus, instead of "C" for "Choke", it can be "W" for "Whaah I don't wanna go to work!"
