Tare and gvm weights on rego papers

just reading through gshughs thread and thought i'd check what my rego papers say about the weight of my b20 and its got

Tare: 220
GVM: 1220

it has confused me because its in kgs right? surely they dont think a b20 weights 220kg and carrys 1 tonne? lol

can anyone else with a b20 confirm they've got the same on there rego papers?

rego papers are qld to peeps

edit -

confused myself its the opposite way around, so would the GVM be used to figured out the cc capacity for an engine conversion?

Tare weight is the dry weight of the vehicle
GVM (Aggregate) is combined with load (in the case of a ute)

Mine read the following
Hilux ute Tare 1340 Agg 2520
KB10 Tare 711 .. no agg
VB10 Tare 711 .. no agg.. probably should have one... but not on the papers
Torana Tare 1245 .. no agg
Cadillac Tare 2340 .. no agg
man im confused now lol thats what i thought to begin.

so am i right in saying DOT thinks my ute dry weight is 220kg?

Thats whats probably on the papers.. .but clearly incorrect and not going to help you

Someone else will have better numbers maybe
i know how much the ute weights, i just dont understand how they come to their conclusion off 220 lol

was thinking i could probably throw some lead weights in the tail gate and under the dash to get it around the 801kg mark then go over the weight bridge and give that to DOT muhahaha sr20det here we come lol
