h150

hey guys, the car is coming along and next on the list is sorting out the diff. i have the 1000 diff out of the car with the h150 not far from it. I just thought i would ask before i started ripping things apart if anybody is running this set up in their 1k? i have seen that there is a 2mm thick spacer plate on ebay specified for the h150/h145 hybrid, is that necessary?

so the few questions i have are.

will the a10 tailshaft bolt straight up? or do i use the appropriate 120y one? or do i have to get a custom one made?

besides the adapter plate is there any other shimming that will need to be done?

finally, any tips or things i should make sure i do when doing this conversion?

any help is appreciated.

cheers!
I have a 120Y centre in my wagon
I needed a different tailshaft as the yolk size was different on the diff flange
I also had to shorten the shaft alittle on the sliding yolk

Now... to be honest though... the first H150 I put in that was also allegedly out of a 120Y didn't need either of these changes

Yes you should run the spacer.. I didn't though

So first thing.. .check the diff flange to see if your old tailshaft fits it ... if not... start searching
