Filter position isn't ideal but there will be plenty of access from underneath...drop the mount bolts and spin it off.

It was 2.6 litre...out of my speedcar. My one was built by Rennsport in the US back in the day. Cut the block and heads in half. Put out 300hp and 400+ ft/lb of torque.
"

Sat the motor in today to check for any issues. The only thing I will do is drop the engine down another 10mm. Otherwise everything else sits well.

Thanks...thats what I am hoping...if it looks like an original part they might not look hard at all...drop the mount for the filter...not hard...5 bolts. Unfortunately there was very few options for that mount with the filter in exactly the wrong spot.

The mounts are all done except for the final paint when they are to be left on the motor. Sump clears the X member. If I have time today I will drop the motor back into the car and I might start looking at the alternator placement etc.

Thats the idea at the moment...never know it might pass with carbs etc and they will never be the wiser Spent the morning working on my engine/gearbox jig so it makes it easier to make mounts etc...I need some bolts so will have to wait until tomorrow...

Well I achieved a little bit today with mock up of the box to the engine. I will be making a new backing plate (made the MDF one today to get all the clearences sorted) out of 8mm steel. It is basically just a spacer ring. I will be running the Micra...

I will be using the A series box. I can make an adaptor or modify the bell housing to suit. Not looking at big power but yes I looked at the CGA but for the price I got the CG for I couldnt pass it up. I will be ditching the EFI and running twin webers...
