"these sender units can be a bugger the units are the same on an a12 and a10 grounding it is a dead short so yeah it will go straight to hot if the units you are trying are second hand be sure they are not in any way damaged does not take much to destroy..."

"Agree with you Neil I remember years ago I had the same problem fixed it with the spacer and also shortened the shaft like you can't remember how much I shortened it by wow this was 20 odd years ago I always use later gearbox's now."

"In all my years I have never had a metal fan blade on any car fail!!!!!!!!!!! hitting a ice easy 5 grand and a god ol mighty clatter a blade gone lucky it never did any damage except for a bit of bark off the front l/side rail"
