Looks like a 1200 coupe unit to me D. Cant see what he has done with the heater unit though... Put guages into the radio hole, and pushed the head unit down to the console. Cant see what he has mounted in the glovebox lid though.

I didn't get time today to play with this idea at all. I spent my time replacing a blown headlight... My father is coming up tomorrow night for me to fix his spare wheel carrier so I might get some time in the shed then to at least eyeball in a second...

Original tank width is 85cm x 10cm high x 10cm wide at the widest point (botttom) If you measure the top of the tank its onlly about 5cm wide before you start to intrude into the boot space. I dont mind losing some space, but i do still use the boot for...

I did wonder if i could fit a fuel tank in the spare wheel well and hook it up with an electric pump pushing into the original tank. I did also think about a fuel cell but my initial research didnt yield a tank that would fit into the origonal hole...

Folks Since my sedan and I are doing around 180km a day a bigger fuel tank would be handy. Having to fill up every day adds an extra 10 minutes to an already long enough drive. The time also gives me time to think. Has anyone modded a fuel tank for...

Update It seems that the alternator that i was using, despite it looking like an internal reg unit, is in fact an external reg unit from an early holden gemini/torana/kingswood. Moved on to a mitsibushi alternator, that is labeled internal reg, so Im...

That does look pretty hot, but you would want to chrome/blue everything in the engine bay, else it would look out of place. But, on the flipside, thats a very modern look perhaps more suited to a 200sx or such. I

Was thinking of calling someone like irwins. Im just cringing at the price tag. A second hand bar for the dunnydore was still $800 with new ones around the $2000 mark. Ill try to squeeze in a call to them tomorrow and see what they say. You never know,...

And D You know what the most annoying part about this whole "thing" is? Its that if it had gone to plan, I would have the car near completed now. Just doing the fiddly bits, getting ready for licensing. Instead, I have no money left to put...

Ok So an update on this slightly random issue. I've just about got a useable work-around. Usually, i've got enough pace (doing 100kmh) to put the car into neutral once it starts to die, let the car roll for a while, letting speed drop off. I wait say...
