You could put a H150 in there, which would take a fair bit more abuse but probably won't withstand a boosted engine. I'm boosting a bigger A-series and running a H150. I guess the longevity it also comes down to tyre/wheel combo and how you drive it.

I do not think so. Why do you need a bigger diff? The H145 is plenty strong for the A10. I think the roadster is the H165 (or is it the H190?) which ever one it is it will not bolt into the smaller axle housing assembly of the smaller H145. Chris

Got some more photos of the ute and engine. Finished the floor pans and painted the engine bay and now just sorting out the wiring and hiding it inside the guard. Should look good when done.

These are quite difficult to find. I ended up laser cutting one (the boot badge). The JDM badges are easier to obtain I think.

Yeah the block can only be distinguished by the water pipe at the front (and of course the dizzie placement) and going by that one pic up the top it does look like it has that fitting but the rest of the pipe has been shortened a bit. I'm not sure...

Yeah i looked at the photos of the gx's and its definately one. Its still got the original exhaust manifold but not the filter box. It looks like a nice motor, going by previous forums on the net that I found of this ute, the motor has had a freshen up...

Well it's almost certainly most of the top end of a GX motor. Rocker cover, Carbs, Dizzie position, inlet manifold. Even the wrap around fuel rail is the GX one so I'd be pretty impressed if the rest of the engine was a GX. A12GX Engine Tech Wiki...
