Believe or not Id stay original all through except brakes, electrics and small supercharger  There was a concept illustration by a very good artist on Ratsun on this early 1000 and he also purchased one to restore like it but cant find it atm.

I have had the exact same issue and changed the voltage reg from another dash to fix the problem. It is an easy swap if you have a spare dash to rob for the part. Turn heater and wiper switches to middle position so they are pointing straight out....

My gauges are reading low. The temperature gauge does not work at all, except for I have seen it move very slightly when in hot traffic. And the fuel gauge was reading empty the other day but took hardly any petrol at the bowser. I read on the 1200 forum...

After receiving my welded part I hand filed it to shape and smoothed it with some sand paper, then textured the outside with a bolt in a drill. I ended up using 2 bolts, one filed down to make sharp corners and then followed by a normal bolt to soften...

Well finally got round to installing the extractors but dammit they don't fit. No way they will clear the steering arm /floor pan / bell housing - the 4 into 1 all happens around that area so no go. Anybody else had that issue? Its an A12 motor in a...

Sounds like a keeper. Friends wife was keen on baking some aluminum intercooler plumbing in the oven to krinkle coat it on Sunday ... was for her EP82 Starlet tho. Old lenses come up amazing with a polish/buff.
