I spotted a perfect kb10 in okinawa the land of the rising rust as the air if pure salt here and rarely anything old around to survive so it was a surprise to see this thing in awesome condition driving in the opposite direction and again a four door...

Dam you had worse!? Â you are a sucker for punishment hey no really at least if was the lightest 1k ute around! Yet still would use such a body by cutting the bottom out then sitting it ontop of a disc brake chassis like a vanette Always wanted a...

You might be shocked once you get her to Melbourne! Â They are such simple cars you should be able to do different things to factory to avoid future rust and any weaknesess. Â eg. the sills look buggered and you havent seen under the front guards yet....

Thanks for the kind words d but don't feel too sorry for me yet! The ute is in Brisbane already so that makes it easier. The good news for me this time is I have a bit more cash than last time I did this. I can roll with the punches if things don't...

I feel for you as you seem to have put up with alot of stuffing around back and forth. I know an honest workshop that could get you going eg, engine going and brakes but he is 30mins from Hervey Bay in Maryborough Now is too hot but I would drive it down,...

I found this ad for my old ute, appears to be posted by the guy who bought it off me: http://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=97895 I've never heard of the site before and it doesn't have a date of the listing. I sent off an enquiry and waiting to hear...

I don't think the panel beater was trying to give me the run around. His hourly rate is $100 so a day on the ute would be close to a thousand bucks anyway. So I will be doing most of the work myself as you suggested d. As it happened, he he said he was...

Yeah, i think i would prefer the NS to have a slightly higher bar set up. Might look into a top load bmx stem in my bar diameter down the line to raise the bars around an inch or so. And play about with headset spacers to fine tune my stack height. ...

We have a big steel bar like what you are describing. Pointy on one end and has a small bend on the other end. The bend makes the bar into a leverage beast. Yeah the CZAR has a steep steering angle. It made every trail i rode new and challenging....

there seems to some strage connection between simple 1k cars for the road rather than luxury modern four wheels. Then going off it we choose even simpler 2 wheeled machinery for adventure and freedom  Some impressive info there on the Madera cranks...

Fully loaded it comes in just over 25kg with another 5-8kg in my back pack for a 10-14 day trip. I threw some road tyres on it once to try it out for the ride to work and canned it after one day...went back to the commuter. Just felt to weird without all...

Looks like a few of us are into the bikes. Looking pretty loaded up there. Did a big ride with my brother loaded up like that for about a week many years ago. Once you take the bags off, the bike feels wierd without them.

Here is my bikepacking rig. I have a '14 Giant Anthem X 29er. We (the missus and myself) love the Snowys so we do a few trips up through there when we have time off together. Train it from Melbourne to Bairnsdale and then set off to Canberra and finish at...
