I unfortunately went through similar throught processes for my single before I sold it I think what you are doing is fantastic for handling with the rotor being so down low, In the end regardless if I went single rotary I decided to move the crossmember...

best thou anywhere in the world with that colour and finish stock A12 are beaut things, even in the future if you use a GX cam with a little more compression they run better on round port heads than oval due to faster low end and mid range flow velocities...

Thanks, also did another Early A12 from Datsun Museum. Chris assures me it was rebuilt 3 years prior and taken from one of his own cars. Gave it a spray can tidy up along with some fresh gaskets, water pump etc. Single dcoe 40mm from weber performance...
