Welcome! good pics, is that a storage place for old cars?
 
I wonder what the white coupe is in the background with the pinkish roof?
Also is that a daihatsu Mira in front of the b10?
 
Great thing about 1000 cars is that you can fix them yourself compared
to other cars as they are so simple and industrial like.

Sunbeam Rapier thanks it looked like one but there was an old
American car of an earlier era that I cant think of now but
reminded me of it.  
 
A friend had a Mira and it was a hoot and lovely interior comfort.
Harder to repair but the little all alloy engines are a gem too.
Prefer pushrods though, much easier with headgaskets and rebuilding.
I see the biggest issue with noise in older cars is the quarter windows
and seals around them so I want to eliminate them and use VW kombi
style windows sliding mechanism or Landrover for the kb10.
 
Apart from the styling of the kb10 which some prefer (i like them all) 
If the quarter window seals are good on kb10 they are perfectly quiet
on the freeway as they also have better insulation all round.
The angled windscreen makes a difference too in this area and the
guard mirrors also minimise noise on all cars.
Nissans new ugly Electric Leaf has a patent on noise reduction for their
"front guard wings" which deflect wind away from the mirror minimising
noise in that area which is what Mercedes Benz (the worlds biggest patent
holder on auto technology) didnt think about in their quest for silencing tech.
