For anyone that is interested there is one final piece of the puzzle for the adaption
of a powerful and light G16b engine or g13b, bb etc
 
There is a 4 x 2 vitara in the USA that comes with a special 5 speed with no
transfer case and is much stronger than the sierra box which was originally
designed for engine less that 1000cc so quite weak for big hp.
 
Here is the gearbox, I managed to get the pics by asking a seller for them to make
sure I dont pay 600usd for full freight for no reason when all thats need really is
the rear extension housing which would cost around 50-80usd to send instead. 
 
 
 

 

 
 
 
This box along with  the G16b baleno motor which weighs 60kg bare should transform a 1000.
The g13b/bb engines can be used by reducing the diameter of the bolts with time serts from
12mm to 10mm and gives you a box that can withstand 400+hp.
 
The only issue is the length of the gearlever location.
The beauty about the G series engines is they are the lightest made for their capacity compared
to other makes and the g16b can be bored and re-sleeved for 1800cc.

Just in case Derrick if you missed the G series swap another
member did its quite a nicely done project. Bit modern looking
for some even ricey but it would go like the clappers!
Suzi engines are simple no vtec all alloy so about 20kg lighter.

The color is quite modern for the car but its the owners taste in the end.
I prefer the period colours they came with they suit the guard mirrors look.
Im aiming for a 1000 with the oldskool cruiser look my vb10 with classic guard mirrors (supercharged a12/14 one day!)
One with the oldskool racing look and R16 (H20 crank), watanabes, bolt on guards, chin spoiler racing guard mirrors.
Lastly a KB10 with extended wheelbase/front and ca18/zx14 hybrid  racing guard mirrors and some sakura copies

even if they looked like them would be good for 150!
