Wing mirrors (Legal?)

Hi guys
Just a quick question.
A fair while ago i thought that wing mirrors halfway down the front guards was against the law.

I have seen a few cars about with those wing mirrors equipped (including my KB10)

Whats the current standing on wing mirrors on front guards are they legal or do i need to remove them and attach one to my door?

Regards Drew
Some were factory fitted midway and in some instances at the very front of the guard. Mine are all the way down at the end of the guards.

Mirrors

In the case of the KB10 there were specific sports bullet & tall stem style fender mirrors offered in the sports pack. If they attempt to defect you, you can explain that the car is a classic and that that was how the KB10 came from factory which is fact.

I have never had any trouble with having guard mirrors on the old datsun.
the other question was... can you actually see anything  with mirrors so far away from you ?
the one remaining mirror i have on the passanger side is cracked and broken, but i can see that its concave,
and mounted on top of the guard at about the middle
Make that "convex".  The ute (B20) I just picked up has two of them in poor condition.

Mark
yeah .. i ment convex...
Yeah you can see with them, but they have to be clean and in good condition, like any mirror

They work well as they fix the blind spot problems with modern mirrors.
Im a big fan of them.

The mirriors that I have in my spare parts (not on the car yet) are all flat as far as I can tell. Still convex is fine, it just distorts the image a little.
