I stopped in at my local Nissan dealership today to enquire about the avaliability of some Upper Control arm bushes.

Good news, they are still avaliable from Nissan Japan.
 
I only needed one for myself, they say it should take roughly 2 weeks to arrive, I needed to pay upfront in full.
The part ended up costing $31.35 Aud.

I went down to Nissan today,
 
The guy I dealt with says he was unable to source new bushings fom Japan or Australia, they are now no longer avaliable.
 
The one bush they ended up finding was from a dusty shelf in the back of a Nissan dealership in north Queensland.

If they have a part that they are not 100% sure if it is 1000 or not you can always ask for the
"Part Type No." (also known as "Applied model Code".
that should confirm if it is a 1000 part or not.
 
99% of the time if it is a 1000 part it will be one of the numbers under the datsun 1000 Applied model column as the 1000 is the first of the sunnys.
This means most shared parts are only shared with later models so the 1000 "Applied model code" is used.

I was just posting up a link incase DatsAmore found pretty much any 1000 part, not just suspension bushings, but I like the way you think Neil.
 
I have found a few bits & pieces for my 1000 by doing just that, shock absorbers ect.
