1K Collapsable Steering Column

In WA a collapsable column is required for engineering IF you fit an A15 ( because the motor is more than 45% bigger than original)
 
So has anyone fitted a collapsable column?
 
The 1200 box has different mounting pattern but maybe the 1200 column could be grafted to the 1000 box?

Update
I was wrong about the bolt pattern. Looking at a1000 column & box and a 1200 column & box , they are close to identical except for the telescopic bit. The "saddle"  clamp holding the column to the dash is a bit bigger.
I have a friend attempting this mod right now so we should know soon if its a winner

your a legend mal! thats what i was worried bout, if you could adapt the column surround or not

Not sure how the plastic covers and switchgear will go but that stuff is largely cosmetic
Also means you can have a "modern" ignition switch and steering lock

Is there anyway a 1k steering column can be chopped and retro fitted with collapsible sections?
I just ask because Im not a fan of the later design and maybe the collapsible section could be used??

LeithStar you can buy the sections like that but many cars have them these days especially what I noticed is some vans will be interesting to see what some peeps come up with, I will have to pull my thumb out myself for my conversion but really want to keep most of the thouee wheel from the top at least.

I can tell you that a 1200 colum and box can be adapted into a 52 Hillman Minx
