wanted - datsun 1000 ute guards, both front guards wanted

Hi there,
New to the site, I'm after a set of 1000 ute guards, Located Brisbane.
I have found some but they're in Newcastle, was hoping for something a little closer before the road trip.
Cheers
welcome to the Forum,
if the ones in Newcastle are any good, make the trip, good guards are hard to find.....
yeah i hear ya. Thought I'd give it a shot on here first. The guards I've got are pretty nasty, all the mounting points are rusting away, almost detached....
The ones his sent me pics of don't look too bad. Might snap them up while I can then...
Might be able to do a bit of a cutting and welding to make a good pair....
If only FRP ones were made again! using bamboo fibre would be my choice

I heard there were a few compalints about the FRP ones thats why they stopped making them

I have molds to make but they have large flares on them (about 3-4"
I got a hand me down set, they had been thru a few people and then finaly fitted to my Wags...
they are fairly ordianary, ok for a lappo, but nothing decent, big gaps,
Neil the big flared guards seem big but could they be cut a tad and look like 2-3 inch flared guards?

Also there is a place called challenge FRP they do alot of work for RMIT in melbourne as the students
for the industrial engineer dept love their prices. They could do the new runs and also mod the molds
to suit our needs if enough peeps want them in the future.

Interesting....
I'd give it a crack to make fibreglass ones if someone has moulds they could give me?
I've got a bit of fibreglassing experience.
