The inner lip is actually gonna be a pain in the arse to keep, and get perfectly straight, much easier to cut it off.

I'll try and start on the panels this week, or next, when they are perfect, then I will start on the moulds. I noticed in the photo that beetwenty put up that there were no guard repeaters in them. I think I wnat to put them in, but not the antena or mirror holes. What do you think?

There are 3 types of guard indicators.
Round
Short
Long
Some 1000 owners choose to have no indicators at all.
I would think leaving the guards blank would leave you open to all possibilities.

These are what I was thinking of using for front indicators just below the headlights.

Flares are an item that will never sell by the boat loads as they dont really wear out quickly.
It will be hard for you to get any invested money back quickly, but you could expect to get something back over time.
if you have the moulds and then offer them, people will trickle in slowly. I dont have the cash for any right now, but when I get to that stage, i would be intrested.
Make the guards and moulds for yourself, in your time, to your specifications and expect nothing back. Everyone wants somethig different so its near impossible to make everyone happy. make it for yourself and then offer it out. If your design doesent suit others, then they donthave to buy it. if it does then you might make your money back.
Ill get that the minspares place that sells them probally made up the mould for a personal project and sell them cause they have the mould rathern than for making money.
Still keep us all posted when you have the chance to make up the moulds and cast a panel.

My flares are not really flares just turned lip inside out very smoothly.
it looks totally original and you cant tell at all unless you have both
side by side. This is the easiest way to make usefull guards as the
original ones are useless with inside lips.
If people want more they can use bolt on ones.
