Eoi - Front indicator rubbers

hi guys, i dont have any front indicator rubbers so emailed a guy about making some new ones up. Just wanted to see if anyone else is keen to buy a set either to replace or keep as a spare because its not worth while just getting a pair for myself. i haven't got a price yet just wanted to see if there's any interest on here and go from there

yeah maybe. depends on which style indicators you are using.
Long/short spear or the round ones.
I'll put my hands up for short spear rubbers if that's what you're looking at.  Both external (between lens housing and outside of fender) and internal (on indicator body), if possible.  While I'm at it, I'll ut my EOI in for a dozen of each, as I'm sure my fellow WA members will want some!

I can probably get some of them to, but the ones I'm talking about are the ones under the headlight. For 20 pairs will be around 70 a pair which is a bit dear but the more orders the lower that comes down. The reason they're so dear is because a new tool has to made to get the exact same as oem. So yea depending on how many are interested might not be worth it

OOER!!   Yes, good call about waiting for confirmed numbers...

I remember Mal (Weekend1000) and Mike (Dundee1000) mentioning something that the 120Y side indicator assembly could be used as a substitute ( for indicators only, provided H4 headlights with internal park lights), but forget if it's a perfect fit or not (can anyone verify please?).  If that's the case, perhaps the same rubber seals were used for both models and I'm guessing genuine 120Y parts might be easier to get??

Leith,
I can lend you a pair of New never used rubbers left and right if you need a good set to copy.

If you do get these made up put me down for a pair, Im sure I can find cash to help make up the numbers.
We need more repro 1000 stuff and this is one way to make it happen - or it might be the only way to make it happen.

If you need advanced payment to ease the upfront costs just let me know.

If you want them posted just shoot me a PM with where you would like them sent.
or your welcome to stop in and grab those left over ute bits i still owe you.

well i talked to old bud after i put this up and the rubbers themselves are sweet fa but the tool is expensive to make because of the rubber that has to be used.

so i dunno, i done the math and if i gotta try cover the cost of the tool there a bit to pricey even if i put some of my own money into the tool cost to try bring the price down.

i dunno how much these are on yahoo or ebay so dunno whats to dear how much have people paid for a set? if you dont mind me asking

I thinik I paid around...

$50? for the rubber right side only
$110 for a left complete indicator/parker.
$200 for a set of complete jap parkers left & Right

All of these were new old stock.

yea i thought it would be around the 100 mark, im not sure if people are willing to pay that much tho unless they're bidding on it.

i'll just keep an eye on this post and see if there's more interest

I think you will find the price is too high for someone just impulse buying.

But if anyone is activley looking for the rubber seal then they will know how hard this is to find.
And it quickly becomes reasonable.
I think around the $50 mark is a good asking price for a new reproduction part when you consider tooling costs will need to be covered over only a few parts just to break even on your expenses.

Hi Leith,

Chris

I know some prefer all original but the 1000 had a short life with little evolution and I feel these are perhaps the ugliest part of the Ks. You can fill in this area and run the H4 headlights for escorts with built in parkers and also get them now with inbuilt parkers and signal lights built in for hotrods. It will make the front nicer clear lines with a wider aspect due to uninterrupted bumper.
