datsun 1000 ute POWER

Im after some suggestions on what to do to get more power out of my standard A10 motor. Im thinking the normal exhaust carby and cam. Although i wanted to no how much power to expect at the wheels??? thanks guys
Honestly not worth moving the rpms higher for hp as there is little torque already.
Boost would be the cheapest way to get torque and hp all in one go.
AMR500, M45 or anything around the 1ltr mark in capacity would make the 1ltr
easier to enjoy and could be reversed if need be.

If you do most of the work yourself you could have 100hp ate for under 600aud
eg. SC 350-400, pulleys (pinchapart), SU carb $80-100. Steel plate and weld.

or you could just fit an A12 with 76mm bores makes a big difference and keeps
fuel economy there with pull from 4th gear starting from 20kmhr!

damn you dont put ideas into my head lol
The little A10 is more than useable  in its intended function. Cheap realible, ecomical motoring. If you want more than that, it is eaiser to go bigger capacity than to modify the A10.

Boost is definatly the best option if more cubes isnt possible.

I havent thrown a big wobbly stick into an A10 before, but with a new exhaust, bigger carb (32/26 weber from a XD/XF falcon) you would get some fun without causing too many problems.

You could go "bush mechanic" style and go with a turbo from something(eg N12 Exa) , j-pipe and carb, using all the std manifolds. its probally the cheapest way to boosted power, but its ugly and not very efficent.
