Headlights to rid the indicators and parkers, cleaning up the front

Well I said it was coming and now is the time, Ive always hated the the parkers and indicator setup at the front not to mention they always fill up with condensation and eventually they are filth and rust.

So the plan of attack is to put on these headlights available for hotrods and if anyone is interested in some locally in Melbourne Id love to hear from you. The parkers will be fitted in the same place as the indicator area very easy to do as its plastic, I just drill on the side and glue a parker base insert there from a pulsar.

HOT ROD 7 inch HEADLIGHTS with Indicators built in Amber

Here is another and both have Glass lenses but this one has clear indicator
and removable glass case with seal for easy cleaning.
ALL CLEAR  7 inch HEADLIGHTS with Indicators

Im also ordering some headlight visors to match these.

Haha those headlight visors are sick!

Nice idea with the headlights too built in indicator i like the first ones, reminds me of something... that's right a Mk1 Ford Fiesta!! Looks really nice imo.
I put the humble version of the visors on yours Matt because I was chicken manure at first trying not to destroy the look of the datsun but later saw Mopars 1000 rat ute and he had the ribbed extra long ones and thought they look great but even more so the droopy versions I tried on from a friends VW bug, it was the icing on the cake and smooth stainless doesn interfere with the lines Im after with a clean salt lake style cruiser but for a rat rod like Mopars the ribbed ones are awesome.

Im getting a price on the second clear ones as the amber might be too distracting.

Check to make sure the reflectors will meet our requirements
When we bring cars from US to here we have to change the headlights to meet standards of dipping to the left opposed to the yanks dipping to the right
interesting never thought that couldnt be adjusted will have to ask the supplier

Wow yea I agree, are there any other requirements gotta follow like indicator positioning or anything?
do these fit straite on?
i like these and the visors,

does the blinker go on the bottom or side?
im interested!
Got word from ebay they have no bias for positioning so thats a start

They would fit straight on and indicators on the bottom and the visor
looks amazing wished I had a camera at the time.

There is a pic of a similar visor on Mopars 1000 ute and some volksies online

7pm saturday....,
maybe you had a bit of the old dutch courage also lol.....

i can get click happy on ebay after a couple of the amber liquids,

no pun intended i got the amber lenses,
its hard to say which look funkier,

the idea of minimizing the front for those who want customized / rat look
over original, there not for everyone i guess,

so the clears are to kind-of hide the blinkers but it may look cool to show em also,

i did notice the clears were offering dot color options, didnt see the on mine,

the add for yours dont mention high beam but in sure there same as the ambers and have high / low beams,

maybe i can still order red dots but id be just as happy with blue i guess.....
Blue dots is good  I wanted the amber lenses but was too scared to be different unless I was in Thailand where I know I can be and colourful everything happy is the winner there. I didnt have the golden amber liquid but irish blackened liquid silver  same end result ...impulse clicking, the high beams are just helped with the globe type so all good even after sober sunday so far.

Not sure if I like them or not they don't have that Datsun flair to them and look a bit tacky but hey just my honet opinion Peter
I have been a long time member of the 1200 club but found this site. As I have a coupe this is where I should be.
tried to fit these today,
fist issue they are 10 mm thich at the outer rim,
so they will stick out a bit, dont know how this will look yet,

next issue they have no parkers in the headlight.

the ring that holds the light in has 3 screws that go into keyhole shape so you can clip em on,
turn them then tighten the screws, well basically the ring keyhole shaped screholes were designed to sit tight flush once the
screw is tightened,
D, once you get yours we can talk about the issues,

cheers.
Dato10 its more for the rat look and no offense but your bumpers look Tacky 80s
should try and paint them silver at least if cant get them chromed.

Doingupthedatto,
How come guys in Thailand get them first!

The parkers will have to be incorporated by drilling a hole on the plastic reflector from the back
Ive done it on glass units also using correct drill bit and cutting compound but for plastic much
easier to do than Bosch H4 units. Then use the fitting with wires from a stock late headlight
I used one from an old 80s escort at the time as thats the car I fitted it to and shows my age.
Then just use silicon to seal it on and the position I chose helps with heat rising but will have
a dome plastic cover over the parker globe. The whole unit is very small and compact.

here are the pics of my plan of attack to deal with the parket light, can you post a pic of the
areas you are talking about? I had to use a bent screw driver to screw my old ones in.
