Maybe it is an early car, what is the year on the manufacturers plate? Are there three tabs to screw each headlight surround into? Here is my list of differences between MY67 and MY68 sedans: . Front wing blinkers are round; ...

Looks good but wrong grill. B20s first appeared as MY68 with all the minor changes, grill and side indicators are the biggest. I will swap you the right grill if you like, just drive down here and we can change it over on the spot. Mark

Make that "convex". The ute (B20) I just picked up has two of them in poor condition. Mark

Are there people out there looking for a ute (in Australai). What sort of price does a run down example go for? I know of one available so just wondering how much I should pay, if anything. Mark

It's just about all back together, any one in Research this afternoon would have known that a 10A fed by twin side draughts was alive. I tried to engage reverse (accidentally) from first once, lesson has been learnt without damage, hopefully. Now I...

I wish I had just bought a 4 speed for the "accessories", it would have worked out easier. Anyway I have the required thrust bearing and carrier (thanks to Randy at Nissco) and the 'box is bolted up and in the car ok. The thrust bearing has a...

Help please, I am desperate to get this job finished. I need a 1200 thrust bearing and carrier to suit the 1200 arm. Is anybody in Melbourne (or nearby) able to help? Mark

The next thing I have noticed is the rear mount. The mount at the back of the 56A (5 speed) seems to be further from the centre of the output shaft than the mount of the 56 (3 and 4 speed). Do I need a gearbox mount of any B110 or a GX 5 speed? Or...

Are they 12" mags on the car? I am looking for some 13" minilite copies for mine. The car looks very original, no radio even. It's good it's not a 66/67 as I would be sorely tempted Mark in Research

If I shorten the fork outside the bell housing then the clutch pedal travel will be reduced and harder to push. But if the B110 mechanism is lighter than the B10 I won't notice will I? Thanks for advice so far. Mark

All, I now have a 56A 5 speed for my B10 rally car. The obvious difference between that box and the 56 4 speed in the car is the clutch mechanism. Can someone suggest a tidy way of making it work please. Edit in: I didn't get any clutch...

I can't agree re any early (is there a better name) 1000 having a 4 speed in Victoria from new. Every early car I have ever seen had a 3 speed or evidence of having had one, I've got two in my shed at the moment (well they've been there for several...
