I decided that I should make myself a flywheel stop instead of making do without one. It isnt cnc machine perfect as I made it in around an hour and a half using a cut off wheel on a grinder and some hand files. I still need to drill some holes to...

No info sorry. Im guessing 1000 is all 12mm. Im thinking 14mm might just be 1200 stuff? But is a guess. I'll have a look tonight to confirm condition... but think I may have some useable 2nd hand 1000 tie rod ends in the garage to get you by if you...

Thanks for the info on the box Neil, mine is definitely an A10 box, guess i'm going to have to upgrade that to something a bit tougher at some point. Yeah Prefects are definitely cool d, just a lot underpewered and handle like bags of crap hence the...

G'day beetwenty, did you ever find if any of these fitted i'm having a hell of a job getting a RH tie rod end, the company i got the parts off sent me a 12 mm left hand one, both inners in 12mm (which all fit) and a 14 mm RH one, now every one on ebay...

Prefects are cool Pedro, I used to have an Anglia 100e and 105e first one with a kent and the 105e with a crossflow while a friend was working on a longer wheelbase 100e with a windsor and some mk1 escort forest rallye flares but sold it on sadly would...

A10 box has a cable that pulls up... connected to a lever that rotates with a 'ball' end A12 box pulls horizontally and the cable connects directly to the fork by a hook

Not sure if mine is an A12 box or an A10 i bought a wrecked 67 Datsun 1000 speedway car for the mechanicals to fit into my 1949 Ford Prefect as they are pretty well the same wheelbase, the Prefect had 10 BHP and the A12 has 69 BHP so it should go a whole...

Ive always found it better to use an A12 box as they have bigger better synchros and A12 clutch cable as well which is superior to A10even behind an A10. Pretty much all that is from A12 is better around it and even the A12 is a better engine as well, not...

This information is actually incorrect as i have just discovered that my engine is an A12/1200, bonus for me not so good for the theory of a 1200 starter fitting a 1000, it might be a good idea if a moderator deleted this post, sorry about that. ...
