There is a code of practise to follow called VSB14. Then look under the 'brakes' section. Basically try to take the brake system in its entirity from a vehicle with a ≥ (equal to, or greather than) mass and power output. You can mix and match...

Nothings ever easy with a 1000 and disc brakes Theres a few setups out there but nothing can be pulled from another car and bolt straight on and work Its going to take some experimenting , searching and spending to make it all go together and work well
