Been thinking about crazy engine conversions for the ratwagon, these look pricey tho, or heavy in the case of the pontiac motor, a slant 4/2 based on an 8 would be awesome for the "open the hood shock value"

Anyone ever thought about the K8 1.8L V6 from mazda?

I believe they developed the engine in conjunction with suzuki who used a version in the vitara but in a larger displacement, this does mean tho that a RWD gearbox might be an off the shelf item.

I think the engine came out in the eunos here - wiki says 130-144hp out of the box should be some room for improvement there!?

I sold my old SC14... sorry

Got some little turbos avail though
What I want, but fear that I will never find, is a small alloy V8 that will fit into my KB10's engine bay without sheet metal surgery.

The Toyota Hemi V8 from the 1980's looked good at first.      Mmmmmm, Hemi V8.
Sadly, it's too big. Buggerbitch buggerbitch buggerbitch.

Oh well, dreams are free.
KB10GL, the car I always wanted.
I've always loved the idea of putting a motorbike engine into a car, ever since I heard of a madman over here shoehorning a gsx-r 1000 into a Mighty Boy.  Aparrently he kept the 6spd sequential box as well!

So on that note, my far-out, in-my-dreams bike engine would be this bad boy...

Mmmm... 6 carb porn... Might just fit transversely too!
When the "D" hits your eye, like a txt smiley guy...
Alloy V8's that will fit a kb10 you say?, how much do you want to spend! theres a few out there based on motorcycle engines.

H1V8

Dryesdale motorcycles here in oz also made one

Dryesdale

I also thought about a V4 which some bikes have but they're harder to source cheaply especially in the larger displacement.

One of these would be enough,
worlds most powerful NA mass produced bike engine
1400cc with 1700cc sleeving option from third party
strong tranny with 6 speed sequential shifting,
204hp with ram air @ 9300rpm
11,000rpm redline
70kg all up
just need engine mounts prop shaft to the
diff with 4 speed gutted T40 toyota box
to use reverse then prop shaft to diff.

Cheaper than doing up an A series and sourcing a box to suit
and the a series setup will never be the comparable just more $
